Environmental Stewardship

Montana Exploration is proud of the environmental policies implemented on its Canadian and Montana properties. The majority of its operations are in Montana where the corporation works diligently with land owners, the Federal Bureau of Land Management, the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs, the State of Montana and its contractors to reduce the company’s environmental footprint at its wells, compressors and pipelines, etc. Our minimum disturbance policy on well sites, introduced to Montana, ensures that the sensitive grasslands are preserved. Drilling is timed to minimize risk of road damage and disturbance to the abundant wildlife in the area.

In addition, the areas cultural heritage, both on and off the tribal land of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, is respected to ensure that no important artifacts or sacred grounds are adversely impacted.

The company contracts environmental specialists for all of its operations on Federal land and Indian lands and biological and archeological experts when required.

The company’s use of state of the art satellite technology to monitor wells and conservation of the low salinity produced water for use by local ranchers have enabled it to minimize the use of roads and trails and to provide a valuable resource to the cattle industry.
